Irwan and Astrid were looking for a simple elegant invitation for their wedding in Singapore. Designed by Sopha & Co. printed using letterpress technique by Paper Press Jakarta we've delivered just that — each set beautifully wrapped with lovely doily.

Meeting Melisa

Melisa were my boss, mentor, and friend, all together. I used to work for her and her husband Dominic back in LA right after graduation, they were both wonderful mentors who learned so much about working process and design. Melisa is now pursuing her dream through Tulisan by following her passions for drawings, designs, and writings and transforms them into a beautifully crafted products with solid branding strategy. End of last year Sopha & Co. had the chance to work on their promotional stationery envelope, which we produced in house using our letterpress printing machines. We were very happy to hear the "love it" feedback.

Going Letterpress with Rinaldo & Donna

We were working for a few months with Donna on the design of her wedding invitation. Rinaldo & Donna were after vintage old country look that's perfect when printed using letterpress method combined with the right paper selection.

This invitation is done using 2 special colors combined with matte gold foil stamp. Designed by Sopha & Co., produced by Paper Press Jakarta.

What is letterpress printing?

Originated in the 1400s it was widely used as the standard printing method until being replaced by the modern offset and digital printers. Even with the help of computer and digital plates, letterpress today is still considered as an art form because it creates impression that does not reflect modern prints. The printing process demands time, patient and skills using conventional technique. It is done by hand one at a time.
