Caroline Hadilaksono

Last month, I got to see an old friend back from when I was in LA. I met Caroline when she was very young (I think she was still in the primary school), but now she has grown into a matured young woman.

I remembered her interest in arts and drawings but when she showed me her watercolor paintings on her tiny sketch book, they were nothing like I remembered them back than. It was like "love at the second sight. Her drawings to me carries that innocent feelings that can only comes from the heart — a labour and expression of love. Looking at her paintings make me feel like I want to be part of her "dream" world.

Now Caroline lives in NYC where she usually sits somewhere in the corner of the city for hours with her water color sets — drifted away in her world.

Just Jessy. See, Hear, Feel.

Miss Jessy was my 4-year-old girl's drawing teacher at Hadi Prana Kelapa Gading. It's evidence that her beautiful passions for teaching and in art shine from her life into her work. As an artist she does intricate marker drawings on paper; these are expressions of her world views and wisdom she shares with the world.

Below are some of her illustrations transformed into sets of greeting cards. For more of her works, check out: http://www.facebook.com/JustJeSsYArtwork

"This is my world, it's a roller coaster. Sometimes you're on top and everything is fabulous and sometimes it's crazy. But it's what I wanted and in the end, I love it."
– Jessy

Happy Belated Birthday Miss Jessy!!
