What is letterpress printing?

Originated in the 1400s it was widely used as the standard printing method until being replaced by the modern offset and digital printers. Even with the help of computer and digital plates, letterpress today is still considered as an art form because it creates impression that does not reflect modern prints. The printing process demands time, patient and skills using conventional technique. It is done by hand one at a time.
